I and my DH both said we couldn't have another dog when we lost Dax, BUT, our friends talked us into looking and my son Colin researched Bassetts and found puppies in southern Iowa. Went, fell in immediate love, and now can't imagine life without him -- here he is as a babe! Who could resist? When we got him home, he crawled under a car, and it took us 2 hours to get him out. Note the ears - he would actually trip over them when he was small. (By the way, he has full health insurance - don't want another situation where you have to make a decision about your baby that had to involve the cost of care!!!! Heartbreaking!) - Dax
