For propagating, I suggest taking tip cuttings of your parent viburnum or what ever you are trying to start that are about three inches long once they are leafing and then dip those cuttings into root hormone and poke them into a flat of potting medium. Keep moist, but do not over water and hopefully they will root. Later when I start propagating my soft woods I will start a thread ok! In the meantime, hope that helps. Here is the appleblossom I forced.. it is not showing bloom yet, just leaves. All the cuttings here on this thread are still in the bucket as per the beginning! Forcing them to bloom, basically for flower arranging for early spring. |
