Hi folks! I'm growing Clematis x texensis 'Duchess of Albany' (I think). It is supposed to grow through a purple-leaved plum bush, but instead has spread along the ground. I have noticed that whenever I plant a clematis, it grows in the opposite direction than I intended. I don't know anything about pruning clematis, as rabbits do that job for me in the winter. The 'Duchess' is pretty resilient!
