I have noticed for the past few days the Red-bellied Woodpecker has become more territorial and vocal. Here is a window shot from yesterday shortly before he got into a confrontation with a Starling. They both ended up on the ground going at it! Today the Woodpecker showed up with his girlfriend and I noticed they seemed to be hanging out together. Maybe spring is in the way.....
