I just got back from the grocer and had to buy some.. OUCH $2.79 a dozen here.. utterly ridiculous, but its that time of year they are slow I guess. For under $10 a week I feed 16 bird and when they are laying I get $2.00 a dozen for farm fresh.. guess the middleman is eating good at that $2.79 price!

Heres some bantam birds I had last year...silver spangled hamburgs they were. They lay little eggs, but these chickens were also show birds from a friend of mine.

Hey Terri, cant you raise a couple chickens in the city? OUt here theeeere are some cities that allow for a few...You had bunnies, you could put some bantams in their cage! You do not need a rooster for eating eggs!
