They say the best way to put a hole in the ice is to boil a pot of water on the stove and then take the pot with the boiling water and set it on top of the ice - do not dump it, and let the hot pot of boiling water melt a hole in the ice. To pound on the ice in an effort to put a hole in it is bad for the fish. The shock waves that are sent when one does that is what hurts them. Let us know what you end up doing. |
