I was outside on the lanai inspecting my hoyas for upcoming blooms and instead took notice to the gorgeous color changes in foliage that had occured in the past few months. Has anyone else been pleasantly surprised by this? Why does this happen in the winter when the sun is further away than summer time? I would think that the sweltering Florida sunshine would cause this during those months but no...it waited until the day have shortened and the nights were chilly.
