The weather is still fairly nice out here, but I noticed that this morning, the gas heater did not kick in, so I am hoping that it is not anything big and expensive to fix. The new year has already started for many of you who are in time zones ahead of me (I have about an hour to go) -So, to all of you, A VERY HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!! May it bring to you prosperity and joy, and of course, lots and lots of flowers. It is the year of the Ox, the year is 4707. The lunar calendar goes back a long time. Below is a photo of some typical red envelopes with money that the adults would give to the children on New Year's day. That was my favorite part of the holiday when I was a child. |
