We have attempted to use acidic loving plants that I had in the Pacific NW. Many have not survived and I hang on to only a few Japanese Maples, Lilacs, and of course many roses and Spireas. Currently this is overshadowed by a Douglas fir but under plantings of Pin Oak and Lilac trees will succeed when they reach appropriate size.
