Last summer I started growing wild strawberries - I used mignonette which doesn't set runner - to use as ground cover. I'm planning on growing another lot this winter. Amazingly they blossom and fruited first year from an early sowing. Along the bottom of this bed, just above the horizontal path that divides it from the wild area I have helleborus slatey blue growing. (remember to find picture). I have some three year olds in the nursery that I'm growing from seed. My plan is to get a blanket of hellebores across the bottom. |
