All three birds are either seen or heard, but there hasn't been a huge amount of activity to capture and what there has been to capture is out of focus. When I got there today, Mum and Aussie were on the nest. Aussie flew up onto the branch (missed it) and a short time later flew back onto the nest and then flew down into the trees and I didn't catch sight of her again, although I could occasionally hear her. A man who does the gardening said the male Osprey was sitting on a fence at the top of the embankment this morning, really close to where he was and so he was being extra cautious not to make any sudden movements and scare it off and promptly skidded and slipped a couple of metres down the embankment in a great cloud of dust and expletives. The male Osprey looked on, bemused and totally unperturbed by this man's antics. Here's Aussie from 3 days ago. |
