Cute everyone.

Now nanny, you KNOW I WANTED TO COUNT THOSE BIRDS too! hahah.

Well I went birdwatching today. 20 some degrees and High winds. Here's how it went.

First thing of interest, I saw an American Kestrel exactly in the same spot that I saw my last one in the summer.

Then I tried to sneak up on geese and ducks and scared them all off.

Then I almost slid the truck off the road into the marsh.

Then I saw a male bluebird on a line. I guess they stick around here.

Then I fell on my bum getting out of the truck and also dropped the camera. The lesson? Put the spikey thing on the end of the monopod, and don't park on ice.

Then I walked and saw no birds what-so-ever.

Then I went to the park in town and finally saw some more birds. All the mallards, 3 eagles fishing, bunch of gulls and 4 Common Flickers on one tree. I could only get 2 in a photograph though, and not very close.

And then I came home before I killed myself.

How was YOUR day?
