I went to the Reservoir today and I think saw two different kinds of gulls. Laughing and Ring-billed is what I think they are. Some people say our local gulls blew in with hurricane Camile in 1969 and liked it here so they decided to stay. They mostly stay below the spillway catching the fish in the turbulent water. We have had some high water and as the river goes down it leaves pools of water full of shad. The gulls have been eating well the past few days.
