I have a system I do when I collect seeds.

I immediately put seeds and seed pods into labeled paper envelopes for drying (just in case - to prevent mold and mildew from forming). Then I sort the seeds from all the pods. I soak each cultivar in mild bleach water (to prevent the spread of fungus or any other nasty transmitable issue). Next, I move them into plastic cups which I cover the top with sheer tulle secured with a rubber band to dry out completely. (This works well for good air flow for complete drying.) I label with the name of the cultivar each holding area. And when I am sure they are completely dry, then they go into plastic ziploc baggies which are also labeled. It's a multi-step collection that I do. A bit of work, but I learned the hard way a couple years ago about mold forming on damp seeds and had to throw out a lot of seeds. Came up with this new method and it has worked really well. But a lot of work and time to do it. I say a LOT, but not really that bad. It just takes effort. LOL!
