We also have had the zero temps and this morning I noticed a Goldfinch hanging upside down from a shephards hooks struggling to get free. I went to check on the poor little thing and discovered one of its little feet had froze to a calling card on the metal. I had to scrape it off with my fingernail but it flew off with no problem. I've never seen it happen before.

I have also had this tail-less White-crowned Sparrow around for a few days. I don't know what happened to it's tail or what it's chances are but I've seen it fly off.
