I just finished writing a newsletter for our Orchid society, I had to call a couple of people to confirm things and told them both if the streets are icy next Wednesday (our Christmas potluck,darn) I won't be at the meeting. They are all worried about greenhouses, heating is going to cost them a bunch.

I took a class with Tim Chuey, one of our local weathermen, at the senior center. He said what they do is an educated guess. Most of the time they get it right, but then somehow another front comes in and messes up the whole thing. He's a neat guy, loves to talk about the weather. He's always doing programs at schools.

This is my back yard April this year.....we don't get snow as a rule. Stayed for 3 or 4 days, since it was just the snow it was kind of neat. We didn't need to go anywhere so we just enjoyed it.
