Marion, please email me that historical pic of your family's palmetto hut. I'd love for my family to see it. This is the first time I've seen one. Interesting. I recalled visiting relatives' homes in Malaysia with palm fronds roofs, in the 60's. We'd called them "attap" huts.
Your cat is 'bewitching'. Mau in the Malay language means "Want". Somehow cats are way too smart.. they don't have masters, they have attendants..

I run out of cards real fast. Always somebody somewhere that could use some loving words from us! Especially when my family and friends are scattered!!

Found out today that 2 sisters and 2 brothers along with their family will be taking a vacation to Australia for the holidays!! How lucky!! Wish I could join them. Then another sister will soon be migrating to Dubai, UAE following her husband.
None wants to come here :***(
