Made some more progress on a bed I've been working on since early part of fall or late summer. Only have a small section left of that bed to do. Woo hoo! If the weather keeps up like this I can get it done before winter comes in earnest. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I got 3 DL's planted that were sitting bare root in my enclosed porch for awhile. They were pretty dried out. I hope they make it. One looked really dry, but the others not so bad. I soaked them for over 2 hours before getting them in the ground. I also got some other DL's transplanted while renovating that bed. I have a lot of fans of a seedling cross of [(sdlg x Lahaina) x Yuma], and I think I will sell a bunch. I made 2 big clumps out of it, with 17 fans per clump. It's a nice increaser and is a real beauty. Here's a picture of it. Karen |
