He's a nice little guy and seems to understand a little more than I had originally anticipated. He climbed into the crate and took a HUGE nap all by himself (my kids aren't even that good . . .). He didn't get a lot of sleep today being that it was his first day in our home. He needed it bad and he took it all by himself. I was surprised that he chose to do this. Pleasantly surprised!
