All of us in the Southwest go clobbered with the freeze and SNOW!!!!!!. I have great soil because I had special soil brought in when we built and then have composted. I have never been to South Carolina but have a few friends that retired there. Sounds like a beautiful place. Unfortunately, I get cold if it gets below 80 degrees and above 10% humidity.
