I grow for pleasure and am not a serious collector. I've grown them for years and find them to be quite easy especially phals. Those are hard to kill and can even take some neglect but I try not to . Your orchid is lovely. I suppose the fanciest one I have is a variegated phal that's a bit hard to come by. My mother was quite the orchid grower and had a greenhouse for them. She supplied florists at times. Mine are grown indoors in natural light for the most part I recently bought two mini phals that were half price because they were without blossoms. They are budded up now and I'll post pics when the buds open. They will be a surprise for me but I wasn't worried about it as I have never seen an orchid I didn't like. If I had the space, I suppose they could become a passion.
