I got up a little late this morning and my Diamonds were both sitting on the feeder side by side. I turned on their light and they didn't move and after a little bit finally flew up to the top perch.
I thought this was odd as for the last week there was allways one on the nest at all times. I felt of their egg and it was stone cold but i thought maybe they have just took a break.
Waited 2 long hours and i knew they had abandoned the egg (so sad) i removed it and they took no mind just sat on the perch. I hadn't touched the egg since i candled it and hadn't touched it at all before that.
Did i make a mistake by candleing them? Should i have left the infertile one in the nest?
If they lay again should i just leave them alone and only go to the cage to feed them?
Silkie you have Tiels what do you do when they lay eggs?
I'm just upset i was nervous from the start and now i wonder if it was something i did :o(
