I'm back from the familiy wedding in Denver, CO and I have a picture for the "Famous Rocks" dept. . Not a boulder or an erratic, but the product of erosion, this is the famous "Balancing Rock" at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. My father was stationed at nearby Peterson AFB briefly during WWII and I think he has a picture of himself in his uniform standing next to this rock. I will have to go and dig through my mom's photo albums to find it. Anyhow, lots of rocks in the Rocky Mountains!
It was a great wedding and a lovely tour, but I am glad to be back.
