On the way home I stopped at a spot in Avalon called Sea Watch. There was a very nice man there with a major league spotting scope and other impressive equipment. I went over and talked to him. I noticed he seemed to be counting birds so I asked who he worked for and he said NJ Audubon. He was very nice and with his help I saw 2 new birds. A Northern Gannet and Northern Harrier! This was a great year ending trip for me. Sorry for the long post. |
