I started your seed in winter 2006-07, so this is the second season with leaves for them. The first simulated winter was in the frig, the second outside. It did seem to me that there were less plants the second season than the first, so I deduce that some did die over the winter outside in the protected pot. I suggest you do overwinter in the frig for this first winter. Your warmer clime should be fine outside from then on, I would think.

And may I offer my own tiny bit of excitement - I received some L.canadense bulbs from a friend, and look what came with: a loose, pearl-like scale, completed with tiny stolon!
