nutsfordaylily wrote: Oh, schickenlady, you mentioned hoarding stuff.......Well, I have to admit I have a ton of seashells I collected on Florida's Gulf Coast from the past 3 years making trips there, and I've made some frames and a wreath out of them. I have been planning more such stuff, but no time, no time! I also like to decorate eggs, making scenes inside them (especially goose eggs and such). I have tons of supplies for making these, but have yet to get to it. My sister in Alaska makes great eggs, and this year she has sold quite a few. She is very good at it. Betty, your Woolie Nelson and Regis paintings are great. Your raku tile wall hanging is wonderful as well. I love ceramic work and have done a lot myself. ROBINDOG, I love your botanicals. Very nice! Boojum, I've told you this before, and I'll tell you again, I love your pastels, watercolors and tiles. Excellent work! Laura, your watercolors are fantastic! Lovely! Noreaster, your murals are gorgeous. Love your dog sculpture, too. I painted my room with a combo of sponge painting and hand painting. I cut out silhouettes I drew of wolves, and the trees in the border were hand painted. I used southwest colors, as I had spent 4 years in Arizona and fell in love with the southwest style. I did this in my room in my father's house. I was really happy with how it came out. As to the answer to what is art, that happens to be different for everyone. Karen Here is the painting on part of my wall, which covers the whole room. |
