You know we have a farm, pumpkin patch, and we grow Monterey Pine Christmas trees, right? We'd just put in a small shed to use as a seasonal gift shop. The inspiration for my project was caused by the events of Sept. 11, 2001. My ES and I had watched the coverage that morning. I was so sad. The whole nation was in mourning. I wanted to express my grief and share theirs. So I made a flagpole out of an old tipi pole and clothesline and a swiveling pulley. I installed it that day, just so I could hang the flag at half-mast. I also put up my Harvest Themed Backdrop (LARGE enough to read from the road), to which I added the words GOD BLESS, AMERICA! I thought the visual would remind people of what sacrifices were made for our country. I am proud to be a Marine Corps brat. I support our service people.

I'd love to correspond with your DH, with your permission. Although it's better if I eyeball it. I really am looking forward to the March Round up. I am only allowed to lift 15 lbs. My second best friend is a dolly, the two wheeled kind, I can lift and move larger potted plants without having to ask for help. I really hate having to ask others to help me do things I used to do easily.
I'd like to rig up a manual Jacuzzi cover lifter. I can't use the thing if I can't get the cover off by myself. Right now I need to clean it out and get it ready for winter use, when I can't use the pool. Solar heating just doesn't keep it warm enough, and heating costs are prohibitive. I do laps around it in the winter, instead of in it. LOL!
