Hi Becky -

I would love to trade with you. In fact, believe it or not, I already have quite a few packs put together for you that I started way back when [BI] 'Before IKE'. I'm still not back to earth yet from that. I have quite a few seeds to share with you. I also want to send you photos of some MGs that I got this year from your seeds, and to compare notes if you grew those particular ones and/or had any that resembled what I got. One was an 'Incredibe' Rose Silk bloom with very unusual leaves. Anyways, I'll get my notes together and photos that are all on DVD's except for recent ones, and let you see those. You may also want some of those seeds.

Yes, the 'Lilac Baby-Blue' is Flaked and is I. purpurea. It is some kind of sport from my regular Purple-Flaked Shibori MG. Also, all of the blooms are consistent on the same vine. It is a very pretty MG that I grew for the first time this year. Guess I need to ask Ron what to call that one. I wish I could capture the true color of the bloom. I'll go back a few days and see how the other colors look on my other photos and post if I can find a better one.

I have no idea why the blooms are Scalloped like that on the 'Pale Blue Scalloped', but a very good question. Maybe Ron can explain.

I have another that I wanted to ask Ron about too, that had 'sort-of' ruffled-like leaves [not scalloped], and I'm very curious what it is.

I tell you, I have had an amazing parade of Ipomoea purpureas this year. Especially my Raspberry-Red Flaked [Two different strains]. Even have a Pink Flaked HIGE that is sometimes 'split'. I have some other very interesting I. purpureas to show too when I can get to them. One was a mutation from a vine of the regular Purple-Flaked Shibori [growing on the same vine] and is a 'White with Mauve-Pink Flaked' Very unusual and just awesome! I have gotten 3 blooms of that one and have them tagged to see if they will grow back True next year. The other blooms on that vine are very heavily Flaked Purple-Blue and very striking. But not as pretty as what you have posted above. WOW, I'd love some of those seeds too.

What are seeds from that produced this Purple Blizzard?
Sure does have a lot of features of my 'Plum Frost' blooms.
Stunning!
