Bulbs: can bulbs be planted in flower boxes in zone 5b?, 1 by revclaus

Maybe I should. They're cheap to experiment with. Here's a picture of last spring's bulbs (just spring bulbs, I had a lot of lilies planted too and they all did fine). I put most of the pots up against the wall along with my other perennials and they do fine over the winter. Even the ones not close to the wall do fine too.
