here's a simple idea - I've seen these before, but never so small and "invisible" - this is a "back" staircase up from the kitchen of the house. with the camera flash, it looks like normal daylight at the bottom - it's not, but that's about how these would look in daylight. then at the stairs top, that's the actual light level, and you can see the bright safety lights that come on below a certain lumin level, placed every third to fourth stair, to help the young and old keep from tripping or falling. my sister and I both wanted to build nine years ago. Neither did, but something like this was on our MUST HAVE list.
