Samigal, I'd bring out the big guns, NEEM oil or Safer's Insecticidal soap. Lowe's, HD is where I got a some this spring.. mix with water and spray every inch of green, I even let some get on the buds.. and on the underside of leaves, stem and the top of the soil around it... then again, in 4 or 5 days, (or directions on Neem bottle) then the next time I'd use some peroxide/ 1part to 3 parts water with a few drops of regular (NOT antibacteril) dishsoap and the next time some Safer Insecticidal soap spray... Here in KS, I "work" too hard for summer (or end of summer) blooms to have them devoured... Samigal, I too received tiny little rooted starts from ZZ, I put them in a six pack (like annuals come in)... with MG potting soil, once I noticed they had adjusted and had new growth emerging I started feeding with 1/4 strength 20-20-20, potted them up to 4-6 inch pots and by then they were at about 1/2 strength food and it wasn't long till they were in 1 gal pots "eating at the adult table".... one was vixen and she's blooming right now.. here they were in June |
