IRIS wrote: pelletory, onewish1, Mrs_Ed, Thanks! Seeing as they are going from feeders to flowers, You should try sitting by the flowers for a photo maybe. I do that, And they come to drink at the flowers and I get some shots, If you sit really still they come pretty close to drink at the flowers ( They do for me anyway) I was actually standing by the flower bed getting pictures of bees and a hummingbird came right over to the flowers ( Picture at bottom) I moved slowly and followed him with the lens and got the shot. It's hard for me as I always "Ónly use manual" on my camera, So I have to adjust everything before I take any photos , So if I have it set for clouds/shade and the sun comes out through the clouds, I have to re-adjust, Even if the light goes brighter or darker, I have to re-adjust, Plus while following the bird I have to keep refocusing ( Unless they are sitting still).. A learning Experience! But, I do get some good shots sometimes. Meredith79, Thanks for posting the links, I'll have to look at them fully when I have time, They seem like they'll be good! nanny_56, I'll have to check out that thread later, Thanks for posting it. I sometimes use my point and shoot camera and it usually gets decent photo's ( It's an Olympus c-750 Ultrazoom) I'm going to try it out on the hummingbirds and see what I come up with. Here's the standing photo... ( Sorry Mrs_Ed) This message was edited Sep 29, 2008 1:03 PM |
