It's not funny at all. I've seen posts where they describe of the fragrance on other hoyas. Very few of mine smell. The only ones so far are australie 'keysii' (which to me smells like horse urine) and carnosa which has a very mild smell and only in the morning. In the evening there is no smell from carnosa.
My pentaphlebia just finished blooming again and the smell is very slight and sweet.
Also pubicalyx 'Pink Silver' has a very slight fragrance, again sweet.
