I was saddened to see this morning when reading the news, Paul Newman has passed away. I teared up upon reading the news, as silly as that seems since I never knew the man other than through his work. One of the reasons being he was my late mother's heat trob. She always told my father that if Paul Newman ever came knockin, she was out the door. *LOL* Of course my father always said IF he shows up she should go right ahead. She adored him and along with Elvis were the only two figures I ever heard her speak about. The early morning hours on the day she passed away, as we sat by her bed so she wouldn't be alone what should be playing on TBS? An old Elvis movie followed by one by Paul Newman, and although she never knew at that point it made my sister and I smile for just a brief bit that day.
