In our zone, Frankston/Palestine, if you want reallly large Brugs, we can leave ours in the ground overwinter! All of mine are in the ground. They prefer morning sun, evening shade here. Just cut them off to the ground, mulch really well, and they will grow bigger every year! Aren't we lucky?
