JoAnn, thanks. and I know exactly what you mean. my college art teacher 1) tried to get me to switch majors - I was in computer science 2) wanted me to sell the small floral watercolors I did for her class. I knew I could never make the money in the art field I could with a computer degree. I wasn't a kid of 21-22, I was 40 when I got my degree with a husband and teenage son headed for college himself. and I didn't want the pressure of trying to sell the paintings even if I could. I paint for myself and I was drawn to watercolor because of the awesome way it translates the plant world to paper.
