Odd kind of day...yesterday I got a call from both Mom and sister Sharon to tell me my brother was having financial difficulty...really not his fault, if you remember his house burnt last year, entire upper floor and insurance wouldn't cover it because it had something to do with wood stove etc. - he has a case going to court against the insurance company, probably won't get heard for a good part of the year anyway, am sure you don't have the entire night to listen to me ramble, make a long story short, he had to take out a mortgage of $100K to rebuild upper floor or tear down the house..because he hadn't been working for some time due to illnessand took time off to re-build the year went quickly by, it was only for 1 year term at high interest...anyway the year was up last month and he couldn't get another mortgage soooo that means big trouble..I know the lender, friend of Jeff's and he also does work with us at the office, he's on floor 5 and we're on floor 2...every time he calls he sweet talks me, tells me he's always thinking about me, says I'm a sweetie pie...he'd be about 40 same age as Jeff....anyway after hearing the story last night I told Bernie I'd make a call on Robert and see what I could do...so this morning, went and talked to him, tried to sweet talk him, and when I was finished he said that he watched the Emmies the other night and saw the film clip they had won best actress for in each category and none matched my performance...lol...so, as far as I know when Bernie calls tomorrow, everything will be looked after, let's hope..cross your fingers and prayers please...he's had a lot of bad luck and it wouldn't hurt to turn the tables to good luck...

When I got to Bernie's tonight to tell him the info I got, I had supper in a bag waiting for me to take home...looks delicious and it's almost 9pm and I still have not eaten..even fresh apple pie...lucky me...see in the photo, still no grout done to the tiles...getting lazy in my old age, would have before stayed up till midnight finishing the project..so I am learning...one must rest...

Then I'm sitting in my office while the guys are all working, have newspaper print all over the floor that I'm taping together so I can figure out best placement for cutting the Victorian Santa robe/sleeves and cape and Paul comes in and sits-asks what I'm up to so explain the process and for this lol he pays me good money...

Anyway, Wayne off and on is ok with Suzanne and I but he can be a problem..guess he went to Paul and said that I passed a few calls over to him for assessments, really those that involve equity and mortgages.....he's suppose to be the top notch assessment officer...

Paul says 'Betty, I didn't realize you were putting the calls over to Wayne with regards to equity/mortgage files...I wondered why the % ratio of calls coming in versus actual appts. made had decreased in the past 6 months...so, need you to take all the calls just as you did before I hired Wayne"...I explained the reason for it, being they could get more indepth info from Wayne, so he says " You have the ability while talking to individuals calling in to make them comfortable, to make them understand that there is nothing wrong with needing help, life happens and everyone at some time or another needs help, you make them feel good about themselves and make them feel as though there is hope like no one else I've ever seen take calls, so all calls have to go through you for that purpose..we all treat our clients with respect and are pleasant but only because of how you speak with them do we get them as clients...." so guess Wayne's complaint backfired to some degree...so back being a support system for everyone calling in...
