I think the basic size & shape of the bird, type of beak and the tail are the easiest way to differentiate between wrens & sparrows. It may sound strange, but here where I live, I find them in different areas of where I walk. Maybe someone else could weigh in on that question a little better than me!

Gold Finch...I think..getting so the warblers and finch look alike to me. I saw sooooo many Tennessee Warblers yesterday!
