Thanks for the compliments, Victor. My Dawn Redwood is still small. I just got it this year. Couldn't resist. I wanted a tree to plant in my mother's memory. Like I need another big tree! Pretty soon I won't have any sun left. Then what will I do with all the daylilies?

Thanks for your compliments, too, Shelly. I love the new pics you posted. Really nice, all of them. I was looking at cameras today at Ritz Camera. I want to upgrade mine, but don't have the money to do it now. The one I want is $300, plus the service plan is another $100 for 2 years. The one I have now is a Fuji Finepix, and the newer ones now are so much better. Mine only has a 6x optical zoom, 4 megapixels, no image stabilizer, etc. The one I want has 10 megapixels, 12x optical zoom, image stabilizer, great macro setting, all the bells and whistles I like. Oh, I forgot to ask how many frames per second it is capable of shooting, how much lag time, etc. These are other things I need to know.

Great shot of goldenrod and sedum, Anita! And congrats on the hummer. I get them a lot, as I have a lot of flowers they like.

Ooooo, love that clematis archway, Dyane! Very pretty! Dahlias are very pretty to look at, but I just don't have a desire for them in my garden. Part of it is all the staking they need, and also having to dig in the fall. Sorry, but I already have too much to do, and I can't keep up! Dyane, that Gold Coast sounds very much like Newport, RI. I have not been to Newport, but would love to visit someday. Have you ever been to Longwood Gardens in PA? I went last October. That was my second visit there. I love the place.

Robin, I usually go to Marco Island, though this year I also went to Orlando to Universal, Seaworld, and Wet 'N' Wild. Did you hear about the shooting at the latter park this past April? I was there the day before! I've been to Universal twice and Seaworld twice, and I've also been to Disneyworld and the Kennedy Space Center. I think I like Kennedy best. I'm really not a theme park lover. I don't like standing in long lines for short rides and fighting the crowds. I did enjoy Seaworld the best, only because it was fun feeding and petting the dolphins and stingrays, and I loved the 2 shows I got to see.

Oh, no, please, no frost! Not yet! I'm not ready! I'm never ready.

Karen

Here are some pretty cosmos.
