I heard from Jan a couple of days ago and she had been feeling really poorly but was doing better. I don't know if she escaped it all.

My friend from Houston is headed this way in the morning to stay until she gets electricity and water in several weeks. She reports that there are areas where we used to live (Briargrove subdivision) near the Galleria where it looks like tornados hit. It will take many years for 5 million people to restore what was built.

Will add a picture of a strep I couldn't find the name of until I asked Jim King and, of course, he knew right away. Just love her but didn't know name........when he said Crimson Blaze, it made sense because I remember having Crimson Blaze and must have started this one from many leaves.

By the way, my cousin in Houston said that when the winds came in on the front of her house, it was like there weren't any windows as water was going everywhere on the floors. My daughter said her good friend said the same thing about her windows when the wind from Ike got to her house.
