just above the vent is the pelvic bone it will feel like 2 bones comeing in from the sides at like a v-shape. i'll explain a little more too, the pics r not the greatest but may help.


this is a girl i can lay my thumb between her pelvic bone the ends of the bones comeing in from the side touch each side of my thumb. as she grows the space there will get bigger. it is also how i check if a pullet is a layer or not also. if not a layer her vent will be smaller and the space. my layers r about 2 times as big of space and the vent will be like 2 times wider.
