In the last thread someone shared the area where she gets her bird shots, so wanted to share mine.

It is just my backyard, which backs to woods (there's a steep drop off at the edge of the grass/trees). I also have some large arborvitae/white cedar on the property line, which the birds love using (you can see a couple smaller ones in this picture). I'm slowly getting rid of the grass, and this right side will be more shrubs and woodland like (if I pull it off).

Those are two red maples in the middle of the back, and I planted a couple hybrid maples and crabapples recently, and they are slowly gaining popularity. In fact, the small crabapple next to the deck stairs is beloved by the chickadee and titmouse as a way station to/from the feeders.

I rotate my feeders -- when used ones need cleaning I pull out clean ones to replace. Then the used ones sit until I get around to cleaning them :) or until they become dry, which has been an issue with all the rain we've had this year.

And that is a "pondless" pond system, which is getting more and more popular.
