silkiechick wrote: i'm so glad u all love my silkies, lol. them and my showgirls r my prides and joy, i love them to pieces and they r outstanding mom's to boot. i must say i'm a very proud momma they r really great pets , full of love and fun. we have 46 birds in this show, took us 2 trips to get them there,rotfl but we made it. all did good only 1 freaked on us trying to round them up and had to be left home too skidish and one of my good showgirl hens but the ones in r settleing in good. we have in showgirls, silkies, bantam cochins, bantam frizzled cochins, sizzles, d'uccles, giant cochin and bantam salmon favorolles. i made a mistake the judge will be here on wed for judgeing birds cuz he is on vacation not tues like normal. i put in also 2 daylilies, 3 roses, a hanging basket spider plant, i think that's it those will be judged tomarrow at 9 am. i got hired to work the poultry barn all week so i get to feed, water and take care of about 600 birds everyday which is really neat as long as the heat is not to bad. the kid's r excited they get to collect eggs to try to hatch so they r helping too. the petting zoo hadn't opened yet and had bunnies out so i bought the kid's a blonde holland lop girl so they have a quad of breeders now. we named her ginger, i'll get a pic tomarrow of her. they had a harliquin too i might snag tomarrow she is gorgous!! i'll keep u all posted how we do with everything. by the way would love to see pics of what breeds u all raise too!! night, silkie |
