redchic: I had every window jam-packed with plants every winter .... Made the plunge in 1990 and built one off the back (south side) of the house (almost the whole length) 10 foot out. (32 x 10). Raised the roof and attached it to the top of that so I can look down into it from all of upstairs. I plan to remove the temp. wall that is there and replace it with some kind of railing (wrought iron??), opening it up totally to the second floor.

Ideally, I want the waterfall to spill over from upstairs, down into the greenhouse in front of the kitchen window on the first floor into the pond. (Who's got my lottery ticket?)
