The animals have been thoroughly enjoying the garden this year! Turnip greens shared among the bunnies, chickies, and the cows. And the pigs have been chowing on overgrown squash or any we haven't eaten.
The cows Really enjoyed the peas-the Jersey learned how to 'walk' up the fence and crush it down-he and his accomplice(the holstein) ate 50' of peas(they were taller than me!)ate all the chinese cabbage and pruned the top of the tomato plants! They were so full from their adventure they weren't even interested in a bucket of grain! After 30 minutes of coaxing, they finally returned to their pasture. Now there is a 4 strand electric fence surrounding them!
