I know I wouldn't want the responsibility if I had to work full time. I try not to be away when my husband is teaching because it makes so much more work for him and he doesn't particularly like to handle it all when I'm away. We have one cat that has to have medication daily which he gives her because she is a big fat cat and I can't hold her still. Our cats are all declawed and indoor cats so when we go on vacation we have to get a house sitter. A couple of them are overweight and when it's vet time for check ups and shots DH has to go along to lift the carriers on two of them! That's a real trip ... taking four cats in carriers to the vet at once ... Meowing in stereo! But, he gives us a little discount for bringing them in all at the same time!
