Oh yes! I will be looking into all the links posted. I would really like to get the rust under control, but my biggest worry is keeping it as organic as possible. Too many butterflies, hummers, birds, and other creatures that I want to keep healthy and safe in my yard.

I haven't been posting as much lately because I am busy adding another responsibility to my already crazy schedule. Found a baby Cardinal last week. Parents were close by, but were NOT feeding it. By the end of the day the baby was starving and had managed to make it to the vacant lot and got caught up in the brier vines. Horrible thorns on those nasty vines. I had to throw some pants on and ease my way out to unsnag it. Poor baby birdie! What a mess. It was so weak it couldn't even chirp anymore. So I have been caring for it ever since. I called the local vet who said that they would take it and call a woman who rehabilitated birds to release. But if the bird was not in perfect condition they would just put it to sleep. Not good! So ... the bird is still with me currently. It's a little fighter and I wasn't about to have the vet kill it just because it got hurt a week ago. It's so cute and is trying to fly! It chirps to let me know when it's feeding time again. And it loves to perch on my finger and stay there! LOL! But I have a box for it to stay in and have had to take it to school a couple days already because no one was home to feed it. So it's been quite interesting.

I posted a thread in the Bird Watching Forum about this little one:
