Then, around it we have a man-made wetland where we demonstrate how wetlands clean and filter water. We try to tell people about the importance of not dumping your unwanted pets into Florida's habitat. So many people ask if we've fed the turtles and I'm always explaining how they used to be pets so they're used to being fed by humans. They have plenty to eat and we adopted them so some idiot wouldn't dump them in the Hillsborough River.
