Our dogs don't bother the poultry. One is a bluetick coonhound, and he digs a big hole to sleep in behind the poplar (shade). The chickens hang out with him, sometimes clamber over him to get a bug or something. The hound just snores on. The other dog is a La Bointer ( lab/ pointer ; made that up cuz it sounds fancy ), and he LOVES the birdies, but respects them, too. The turkeys challenge him, so he will wander off when it gets too intense. Attached is the logo I designed for selling our eggs around here. Proceeds go into a college fund for my son ( he is one).
