Insect and Spider Identification: CLOSED: Bizarre Beetle / Roach?, 1 by Aetherfury

Two weeks ago I had orkin spray the house and he thought one tiny version was a roach of some sort but didn't seem concerned and finished spraying the house.

Are these things wood-boring beetles of some sort, or is this just something that a "city boy" will have to get used to out here?
